AMI’S Grass Yarn and Tufters Forum 2020 to be held in March

The​ 15th edition of AMI’s Grass Yarn and Tufters Forum will take place at the Hilton Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, on March 23–25, 2020.

The Grass Yarn and Tufters Forum 2020 is recognized as the foremost platform to gain insight into developments in synthetic turf from around the world. The Grass Yarn and Tufters Forum 2020 will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the key issues in the industry and how they are being addressed including structural changes in the market, application and product developments, growth prospects and environmental concerns.

The event starts with a valuable networking cocktail reception followed by two days of presentations, day one starts with “Views from the market.”This session begins with AMI’s presentation on “The changing market for artificial turf.” This is then followed by presentations from the Football Association of Norway, the International Hockey Federation and the World Minifootball Federation. These presentations will address these organizations’ experiences with artificial grass and their needs. We later hear from Liberty Tire Recycling on “The uses and the challenges facing suppliers of crumb rubber infill.” This session also has presentations from Forever Lawn from the United States and Evergreens UK talking about the artificial grass in landscaping.

The second half of day one focuses on “durability and sustainably,” featuring presentations from the ESTC, GBN Artificial Grass Recycling, TenCate and Re-Match talking on “A vision for a sustainable future for synthetic turf.” Day one will end with a networking conference dinner in a local restaurant. 

CC Grass introduces the first session of day two “Examining player-surface interactions.” They will address “Why do footballers dislike synthetic turf and what can we do about it?” This is then followed by research findings by Labosport and Sports Labs. As day two concludes the conference revisits “durability and sustainably,” with Dow presenting on “Polyethylene developments for sustainable artificial turf,” followed by Radici Pietro Industries, Don and Low, and Versalis.

The Grass Yarn and Tufters Forum 2020 boasts a truly international audience, ranging from China and Japan to Europe and North America. It also brings together representatives of the entire supply chain, offering unrivaled opportunities to network, exchange experience and learn through interaction with colleagues, suppliers, customers and competitors.
