NEWS ALERT: GMA waste containment seminar sponsorship opportunities available

March 26th, 2018 / By: / Events, GMA News, Industry News

The Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA) is hosting the seminar “Waste Containment System Design II: Landfill Design Considerations,” April 17–18, 2018, at the Crowne Plaza in Syracuse, New York. The seminar is expected to draw more than 100 design engineers, construction supervisors, landowners and operators, exhibitors, regulatory agency staff, and public works and municipal engineers.

A limited number of sponsorships are available for meals and banquets during the seminar. Sponsors can post signage at the meal, receive three complimentary registrations to the seminar, speak at the meal about your company’s products/projects for 15 minutes, distribute marketing materials/brochures/samples at a tabletop during all seminar sessions/meals and participate in all educational sessions.

The seminar will identify how vertical expansions of landfills can raise a number of legitimate engineering concerns that must be evaluated via proper assessment of both the original land ll design and the new proposal for proper design and specification of landfill primary and secondary leachate collection and removal systems to meet New York State’s newly revised landfill requirements. The seminar will also include the latest updates on methods for conducting electrical resistivity liner integrity testing and leak location.

Taught by Dr. George Koerner, Abigail Gilson and Robert Phaneuf, the seminar will focus on the critical role of geosynthetic materials in such applications.

Sponsorships are selling out fast. For more information, contact Jonathan Curry, GMA managing director, as soon as possible at 651-225-6956 or jicurry@ifai.com.
